About the race
Dusk till Dawn is a 12-hour overnight team relay held at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra on 16 - 17 October 2026. Teams of four complete as many laps as possible around a looped course through the Memorial precinct and Sculpture Garden, with one team member on course at all times. The relay uses a 1.5 km loop, allowing teams to rotate participants throughout the night. The event operates as a team challenge rather than a race; teams set their own pace and rotation strategy.
Participants receive a timing chip to track laps and live progress updates are displayed in the main marquee. Support for teams includes a Runners’ Hub with space to rest and refuel, course volunteers, hydration stations, overnight catering and a closing breakfast. Headlamps are provided and additional gear recommendations include warm layers, comfortable footwear, and items for resting onsite. Dusk till Dawn raises funds for Bravery Trust to provide immediate financial assistance, veteran-specific financial counselling and financial education for veterans and families facing financial hardship.
Each team commits to a minimum fundraising target of $800. Early bird team entry is available until 11 August at a reduced entry fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
