About the race
The Sri Chinmoy 5K & 7-Mile in Prospect Park takes place in the park, running a scenic loop along Park Drive near East Drive and East Lake Drive. The 5K is just under one loop; the 7-Mile doubles the loop with a short out-and-back on the second lap, through forest and meadow with some hills. Sponsored by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team with Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Parks, the event is known for its friendly, volunteer-driven atmosphere and not-for-profit ethos.
