The Sri Chinmoy 5K & 7-Mile in Prospect Park is scheduled for Sunday, March 8, 2026 in Brooklyn, NY (11375). The event is organized by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in cooperation with the Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Parks Department. Distances offered:

Entry fees vary by date: $30.60 through Feb. 9, $35.75 through Feb. 27, and $40.90 through Mar. 7 (registration close). No race-day registration. Entries cannot be transferred to another person. Age restrictions: 5K open to ages 13 and up; 7-Mile open to ages 15 and up. Time limits are set at 1 hour for the 5K and 1 hour 45 minutes for the 7-Mile.
Course, amenities and logistics
The course is a scenic loop on the pedestrian lane of the main Park Drive, run counterclockwise through forest and meadow. The route passes Lincoln Rd. Lawns, Battle Pass, Nellie’s Lawn, Long Meadow, Lookout Hill, Prospect Park Lake, and finishes at Harry’s Wall. The 5K covers just short of one complete loop; the 7-Mile is two loops and includes a short out-and-back section along Center Drive on the second loop.
Amenities include bag check, aid stations every mile, a vacuum insulated drink bottle giveaway (guaranteed for participants registered by Feb. 22; register by Jan. 1 for name engraving), custom finisher medals for all finishers, free finisher photos, and a post-race pancake breakfast with maple syrup and whipped cream. Awards are given by men’s and women’s categories with specified age-group placings. If the event is canceled for safety or weather reasons, it will convert to a virtual event with giveaways and medals mailed to participants.
