Sri Chinmoy 5K & 7-Mile in Prospect Park
The Sri Chinmoy 5K and 7-mile race takes place in Prospect Park, Brooklyn on March 14, 2027. The event uses a scenic, USATF certified loop course on the pedestrian lane of the main Park Drive, passing forest, meadow, Lookout Hill, and Prospect Park Lake. The 5K is just shy of one complete loop; the 7-mile covers two full loops, with the second loop measuring 3.89 miles and including a short out-and-back on Center Drive.

Race features include a giveaway vacuum insulated sports bottle, custom finisher medals, free finisher photos, bag check, and aid stations positioned approximately every mile. Registration is tiered with no race-day registration and prices that include processing fees.
Awards are given by men’s and women’s age categories with multiple top finishers per age group, and all finishers receive medals. Time limits and minimum ages apply for each distance. The event is organized by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in cooperation with the Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Parks Department, and is easily accessible by subway.
