Sri Chinmoy 5K & 7-Mile in Prospect Park
The Sri Chinmoy 5K & 7-Mile race takes place on March 14, 2027, in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, New York. The event is organised by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in cooperation with the Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Parks Dept. The course is USATF certified.
The race uses a scenic loop course on the pedestrian lane of the main Park Drive, traveling counterclockwise through forest and meadow with a few hills. Key landmarks along the route include Battle Pass, Nellie’s Lawn, Long Meadow, Lookout Hill, and Prospect Park Lake.
Distances
- 5K: just shy of one complete loop around Prospect Park
- 7 mile: two full loops, second loop 3.89 miles with a short out and back section
Event amenities and notes include a vacuum insulated sports bottle giveaway, custom finisher medals, free finisher photos, bag check, and aid stations every mile. Race shirts are available in unisex sizes X-Small through 2XL; packet shipping is available to US addresses for a fee and ships in early March. Medals are awarded to all finishers and there are age-group awards for men and women.
