Sri Chinmoy 5K & 7-Mile in Prospect Park
The Sri Chinmoy 5K & 7-Mile in Prospect Park is scheduled for Sunday, March 8, 2026, in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. The event uses a scenic loop course along the pedestrian lane of the main Park Drive, traveling counterclockwise through forest and meadow and over some hills.
Amenities include bag check, aid stations placed every mile, a vacuum insulated sports bottle as the race giveaway, a custom finisher medal for all finishers, free finisher photos, and a post race pancake breakfast with real maple syrup and whipped cream. The giveaway bottle is guaranteed for participants registered by February 22; participants registered by January 1 may have their first name laser engraved on the bottle.
The course starts just north of the Lincoln Road lawns and continues through Battle Pass, past Nellie’s Lawn, down Long Meadow, by Lookout Hill and alongside Prospect Park Lake, finishing at Harry’s Wall. The 5K covers just under one complete loop of the park. The 7 mile consists of two loops and includes a short out-and-back section along Center Drive on the second loop.
Awards are offered for men and women in age categories, with top finishers recognized in each group. Time limits and age minimums are specified for each distance, and entries cannot be transferred. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
