About the race
The Eleventh Annual Sri Chinmoy 5K & 7-Mile takes place on March 14, 2027, in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, New York. The event is organized by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in cooperation with the Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Parks Department.

The course is a scenic loop on the pedestrian lane of the main Park Drive, run counterclockwise through forest and meadow. The route starts and finishes near the Lincoln Rd. Lawns and passes Battle Pass, Nellie’s Lawn, Long Meadow, Lookout Hill, and Prospect Park Lake. The 5K covers just under one full loop; the 7 mile consists of two full loops, with the second loop measuring 3.89 miles and including a short out-and-back on Center Drive. Both courses are USATF certified (5K: NY17086JG; 7 Mile: NY18001JG). Course records are listed for both distances.
Event amenities include a vacuum insulated sports bottle giveaway, custom finisher medals, free finisher photos, bag check, aid stations approximately every mile, race shirts in unisex sizes X-Small through 2XL, and a post-race pancake breakfast with real maple syrup and whipped cream. Registration fees increase in stages and include processing fees; there is no race-day registration and entries are not transferable. Age and time limits apply. If the event is canceled for safety or other uncontrollable reasons, it may be converted to a virtual event with mailed awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
