Springfield Striders Easter Monday Trail
The Springfield Striders Easter Monday Trail is a self-navigation trail race held under UKA rules on 6 April 2026. It is the fourth day of the four day Easter Eggstravaganza trail series. The course is approximately 6 miles and has a minimum age of 16.
Entries are limited to 150 because of parking constraints. Race headquarters are at the Rose and Crown pub in Great Waltham. Participants receive a written route description on the day; there are no course markings, no marshals, no GPX file and no drink or aid stations. This is not a mass start event; competitors will be timed out and back in at the finish.
Finishers receive a £4 voucher and a creme egg. A prize fund is awarded to the top 25 men and top 25 women based on each runner's best three results from the four races in the series. Entry fees are £9 for affiliated runners and £11 for unaffiliated runners plus a 50p booking fee, with discounted rates available until 1 April 2026 for members of affiliated clubs. There are no refunds and no transfers after 30 March 2026.
Running or walking with dogs is not permitted. Confirmation of entry is sent by email if an address is provided. Results will be posted on the Essex Trail Events and Springfield Striders websites. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
