Spring Stampede 5K/10K
The IVS Spring Stampede 5k and 10k trail races take place at Wildlife Prairie Park in Central Illinois, just west of Peoria, on May 3, 2026. The event is sponsored by the Illinois Valley Striders and is part of the IVS Grand Prix.
Distances:
- 5 km (3.1 miles) trail race
- 10 km (6.2 miles) trail race
Races start at the main parking lot and run in a loop around the park on maintenance trails and some single track. Water stations will be provided along the course routes. The 5k terrain is described as relatively easy, while the 10k terrain is more demanding, especially in the second 5k segment.
Wildlife Prairie Park admission for the day is included so entrants have access to the park's attractions the same day. Post race snacks will be provided. T shirt order cutoff is April 19. Registration fee is $35.00 and a $5.00 Illinois Valley Striders member discount applies.
Awards are given to overall male and female winners and to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place regular age group finishers in these groups: 0-10, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
