About the race
Spring Fling - Fort Worth takes place on April 17, 2027 at Halton City High School in Fort Worth, Texas. The series is presented by Bigfoot Running Company and includes in-person running races plus a virtual race option. The event lists multiple distances and formats for different age groups. The event features finisher medals and race shirts, live music from a DJ, aid stations on course, on-site snacks and refreshments, and awards for top finishers.
The 5K is chip-timed. The Kids Dash is organized for children 10 and under and is not timed. Course surfaces include pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths.
Races proceed in varied weather conditions. Volunteer roles are available with different responsibilities such as water stations, course monitors, finish line helpers, sweepers, packet pickup, lead bike, and a mascot role. Volunteer benefits include a race shirt, VIP access, and a choice of a future race entry or a $20 digital gift card for full-race volunteers. A Volunteer Then Run option includes a chip-timed 5K bib and is limited to the first five sign-ups.
