Shark Week Showdown 5K, 10K - Austin, TX
Shark Week Showdown is a Bigfoot Running Company event on July 31, 2027, taking place in Del Valle, Texas. The event includes in-person races and a virtual option, with race tees, finisher medals for several distances, music at the start and finish, aid stations on course, and race-day awards.

- Kids Dash : 50 meters (10 and under)

- Volunteer then Run 5K : 3.11 miles
- Virtual Run : 9.33 miles
Race entries include a race tee and finisher medal for the 1 Mile, 5K and 10K. The Kids Dash includes a race tee, a special Kids Dash medal, and a post-race treat. The 5K and 10K offer awards including first overall male and female Bigfoot trophies, a first masters (40+) recognition pin, and standard age-group awards. Age groups for awards start at 10 and under and extend in typical five-year bands up to 70 plus.
Volunteer options are available. The Volunteer Then Run option for the 5K is limited to the first 10 sign-ups and includes a chip-timed bib, race tee, and finisher medal; volunteers run the 5K after assisting. Full race volunteers receive a race shirt, VIP access, and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 prepaid digital gift card.
Course terrain includes pavement, crushed granite, and some dirt paths. Events occur in parks and greenbelts. Shirt guarantee applies for registrations completed at least 10 days before race day.
