The Wiener Run - Austin
The Wiener Run - Austin is a community running event held at East Metro Park in Manor, Texas on May 8, 2027. Multiple on-site race options and a virtual option are offered, with participant amenities and award categories for timed distances.
The event provides finisher medals and race shirts, aid stations on course, live DJ and finish line announcements, post-race hot dog and beverage service for participants, and age group and overall awards for the timed distances. The course surface includes pavement, crushed granite, and grass paths. Packet pickup opens 1.5 hours before the race start and shirts are guaranteed if registered 10 days before race day. The event will proceed rain or shine and takes place within public park spaces where other park users may be present.
Volunteer roles are available, including packet pickup, water stations, course monitors, finish line helpers, and a lead bike. A Volunteer Then Run option pairs a volunteer shift with a chip-timed 5K entry and is limited to the first five sign-ups. Other volunteer benefits include a race shirt and choice of future race entry or a $20 gift card for some roles.
Age groups are defined for awards from 10 and under through 70 and older, with separate masters recognition for the 40 and older category on timed races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
