Spring Fling 5K Run and Walk
The Spring Fling 5K is a running and walking event hosted by Pleasant Valley Cross Country. The event takes place on the campus of Jacksonville State University, with the central hub located at AmFirst Stadium. Participants follow a course that utilizes the university grounds, with registration and refreshment tents situated at the north end of the stadium on Gamecock Field.
This event uses chip timing to provide results for all participants. The following categories are available:
- 5K Run/Walk
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female participants. Additionally, medals are awarded to the top three finishers in several age divisions, including the 0-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50+ age groups. All finishers receive a participation item.
Parking is available in the lot behind Kennamer Hall or on the north side of the Red Lot. Refreshments are provided on-site by Traveling Toms Coffee and Kona Ice. The event proceeds benefit the Pleasant Valley Cross Country teams to support annual operating costs and program development. This event is held rain or shine.
