Spring Fling 5K - Hosted by Pleasant Valley Cross Country
The event is the first annual Spring Fling 5K run and walk with an associated kids fun run, scheduled for April 11, 2026. It is set at AmFirst Stadium on the campus of JAX State University in Jacksonville, Alabama, at 229 Mountain St NW (north end of the stadium). The race will be chip timed and official results will be posted after the event.
Preregistration is offered at $25 until March 22, 2026; the entry fee increases to $30 after that date. Awards are planned for the top three overall men, the top three overall women, and the top three children age 12 and under.
On race day, registration and shirt pickup will be handled from tents on the grassy area behind the north end of the stadium. Parking is available behind Kennamer Hall and on the north side of the Red Lot. Food and refreshment vendors listed for the event include Traveling Toms Coffee and Kona Ice, which will be available before and after the race.
