This event takes place in Kirkstall, Leeds, and forms part of a festive weekend of running. Participants follow an out-and-back trail course along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. The terrain consists of a flat trail, providing a suitable surface for those attempting to set a new personal best.
The race environment is designed to be supportive and family-friendly, featuring a festive atmosphere at the registration headquarters with holiday decorations, music, and food. The event is Trail Running Association licensed and follows UKA rules.
Available distances include:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 10 Miles
- Half Marathon
- 20 Miles (consisting of two 10-mile loops)
- Marathon (consisting of two half marathon loops)
The course is fully marshalled and includes clearly signed sections. Feed and drink stations are positioned approximately every 3 miles. This is a cup-less event, so runners are required to bring their own reusable bottles or cups. Participants receive a bespoke finisher medal and holiday treats upon completion.
For travel, the nearest train station is Headingley. As there is no parking directly at the start or finish area, it is recommended to use the nearby Morrisons car park. Safety regulations permit the use of bone-conducting or "one in, one out" in-ear headphones, while large over-ear headphones are restricted.
