Crikey its the Christmas Cracker Day 2 is an out-and-back trail event at Hollybush Conservation Centre, Broad Lane, Kirkstall, Leeds LS5 3BP. The course runs along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal on a good, flat(ish) trail and is fully marshalled and clearly signed. Feed and drink stations are provided approximately every 3 miles. The event is part of the It’s Grim Up North Running Christmas Cracker Weekend and participants may enter one or both days. The event is Trail Running Association licensed under UKA rules. The organiser provides a bespoke finisher medal and festive treats at Race HQ.
Practical information
The event is a cup-less race; participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle. Large over-ear headphones are not permitted for safety; bone-conducting headphones or single in-ear use (one in, one out) are allowed. There is no parking at the start/finish area; the nearby Morrisons car park is suggested and car sharing is encouraged. Registration is at Hollybush Conservation Centre. Transfers and deferrals can be managed online; changes on race day may incur a £5 administration fee. There are some unmarshalled road crossings, so participants should take care at those sections.
