Event overview
The Sport in Action Festival of Running takes place on 28 June 2026 at The White Heather Hotel, Old Airfield, Kirkbride, CA7 5HW, England. The festival includes three measured and certified road races. All courses are officially measured and certified accurate by the Association of UK Course Measures. Route maps and a full course risk assessment will be available at the event headquarters along with the race permit and measurement certificate in line with UKA rules (Permit No TBA). Registration closes 26 June 2026.

Race details, entries and results
Entry prices listed for each distance are: marathon £44.00 plus fees, half marathon £34.00 plus fees, 5 Mile £20.00 plus fees. Remaining places shown at the time of listing were 91 for the marathon, 148 for the half marathon, and 150 for the 5 Mile. Results will be provided live by an official timing service.
Prizes and policies
All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Overall prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female. Age-group prizes depend on category size: 1 to 17 competitors - 1st only; 18 to 27 - 1st and 2nd; 28 or more - 1st, 2nd and 3rd. If an age-group competitor places in an overall prize position, they receive the overall prize and the age-group prize rolls down. Withdrawals up to 28 May 2026 are subject to a 50% processing charge; after that date no refunds are given. All three courses are described as flat; the Solway Coast Marathon is described as possibly the flatest marathon in the UK. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
