Spooner Lake 5K and 10K
The Spooner Lake 5K and 10K take place on August 9, 2026 at Spooner Lake in the Lake Tahoe Basin. The lake is surrounded by aspens and more than 12,000 acres of forested, open space. Both races start at the Main Venue near Spooner Lake.
The courses use very scenic singletrack trails. The 5K and 10K routes circumnavigate the lake.
Event registration includes an event T-shirt, a finisher medal, free digital photos, and post-event food. Awards are given for 5-year age groups. Medical staff are present. Aid stations along the courses provide water and electrolyte drinks.
Pricing for the Spooner Lake races includes tiered fees. For example, the 5K Individual price rises from $50.00 to $65.00 for on-site registration. Discounts are available for youth and senior participants, as well as for clubs, teams, challenged athletes, and military personnel upon request.
