Escape From Prison Hill - April 4, 2026
Escape From Prison Hill is a trail race event near Carson City, NV, held at Silver Saddle Ranch. The program includes three distances run on single track with notable climbing and scenic views.
The distances offered:
- 22K about 14 miles with roughly 3150 feet of elevation gain.
- 11K roughly 11 kilometers with about 1600 feet of vertical gain.
- 5K about 5 kilometers with over 700 feet of elevation gain.
The 22K course contains two staffed aid stations located near mile 8 and mile 11.5 that provide water, electrolyte drink, and snacks. The 11K and 5K have no aid stations; participants in these distances must carry their own water and fuel. Runners on all courses pass a landmark known as Dead Truck and encounter sustained climbs including a steep section called Dead Truck Canyon.
Online registration closes 04/01/26 and the field is capped at 200 entrants, after which a wait list will be used. Race day registration may be available if spots remain and is restricted to credit or debit payment only; no cash is accepted. Entry fees vary by distance and increase on race day.
A portion of net proceeds will be donated to Muscle Powered. All finishers receive a medal and top male and female finishers in each distance receive awards. Course maps are published on Caltopo. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
