Heatwave Half Marathon - Cincinnati
The Heatwave Half Marathon takes place at Rentschler Forest Park-Cummins Shelter in Hamilton, Ohio. This summer event features several road race distances designed for various experience levels and ages. Participants can choose between individual races or a relay format for the longest distance. Free ice cream is provided to participants at the finish line to assist with cooling off after the race.
Available distances and event types include:
- Kids Dash: A 50m untimed event for children 10 years old and under.
- 1 Mile: An untimed walk or run.
- 5K: A chip-timed distance with live results and awards.
- 10K: A chip-timed distance with live results and awards.
- Half Marathon: A 13.1 miles chip-timed distance with live results and awards.
- Half-Marathon Relay: A 13.1 miles team event for groups of any size.
All registered participants receive a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. For the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon, electronic chip-timing is used to provide live results and categorical awards. Photography is provided at the event at no additional cost. A virtual race option is also available for those who cannot attend the physical location, allowing them to complete their chosen distance and receive the event materials by mail.
