Event Overview
The Spooky Sprint is a 5K run/walk event. This is the 17th annual edition of the event, hosted by the Melrose Family YMCA. It is described as a family-friendly event that begins at the Melrose Family YMCA.
Course Route
The course travels through downtown Melrose and Pine Banks.
Registration and Fees
Individual registration is priced at $30. A "Family Rate" is offered, which allows registration for up to 4 individuals for a total price of $100. Registration includes post-race refreshments.
Awards and Features
Awards are given to top overall finishers and the top finishers in each age group. A costume contest with prizes is part of the event; participants can have their picture taken at a designated photo booth for consideration. Chip timing is provided by Bay State Race Services. Participants who register by a specified early deadline will receive a long-sleeve t-shirt.
Beneficiary
All proceeds from the event support the YMCA of Metro North Annual Fund. This fund provides access to YMCA child care, camp, and health and wellness programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
