Spooky Sprint 5K & 1 Mile
The event is held at the Muskingum Family YMCA in Zanesville, Ohio. It includes a timed competitive 5K (3.1 miles) plus two non-timed fun runs/walks on a tree-lined Collegial Woods trail. The event includes family-oriented activities such as a costume contest, trick-or-treat stations on the route, finish line snacks, and post-race attractions including a hay wagon ride, photo wall, and cornhole.
Distances offered:
- 5K (3.1 miles): Timed competitive race; eligible for overall and age group awards.
- 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk: Non-timed; strollers and leashed pets are allowed.
- Youth 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk: Non-timed; free entry for youth.
Registration opens June 27, 2026. Standard fees apply with increases after August 15 and an additional late-day fee; shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by September 20. Paid registered participants in the 5K and the 1 Mile Walk receive a finisher medal and a race t-shirt while supplies last. The 5K awards top overall male and female finishers and multiple age group winners. The event proceeds benefit the Muskingum County Family YMCA.
