Event Overview
The Killing Tree Wine Run is a 5k running and walking event held at Killing Tree Winery in Dresden, Ohio. The event includes timed results and age group awards. The registration fee covers several items: a t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that also functions as a wine stopper, a race bib, and a pour of wine.
Course Details
The course consists of two loops that start and finish at the winery. The route is described as suitable for trail running and includes hills. Participants can opt to complete only one lap.
Event Information
Packet pickup is available only on race day, starting one hour before the event. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in standard 10-year age categories. Results are posted online by the timing company J3 Timing. The event also partners with the local charity Moving Mountains Ranch.
Additional Amenities
Breakfast and cocktails are available for purchase at the winery on the morning of the event, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The winery offers a selection of wines. Virtual participation is an option, allowing registrants to receive their race packet by mail for a shipping fee.
Participation Notes
The event is open to participants aged 1 to 99. Minors receive a discounted registration that includes the shirt, medal, and bib but not the wine glass or wine pour. Strollers and leashed dogs are permitted on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
