Spooktacular 10K
The Spooktacular event takes place in Pompano Beach, Florida, at the Pompano Air Park. Participants follow an out and back course located at 1103 N Federal Highway. The route is conducted entirely on the sidewalk that surrounds the airport. Registration and event activities are centered at the south end of the parking lot belonging to Galuppis' restaurant.
Participants have the option to choose between two distances:
- 3.1 Miles (5K)
- 6.2 Miles (10K)
This is a non-scored event where the focus is on participation rather than competitive timing. Every individual who takes part receives a club T-shirt, a finisher medal, and a signature bib. The event organizers encourage the use of costumes during the activity. The course is open to both runners and walkers. For those choosing to walk the 6.2 Miles distance, a time limit is provided to ensure completion within ninety minutes.
Registration is available at a standard fee, though a discounted rate is offered for those who register at specific running store locations in Davie or Fort Lauderdale. Furthermore, registration is free for participants who are 75 years of age or older. Packet pickup is organized at the same running store locations prior to the event.
