The Great Pumpkin Dash on October 10, 2026 in Waxahachie, Texas is a costume-friendly running and walking event that raises funds for Chrysalis to Wings. Chrysalis to Wings is a 501(C)(3) faith-based agency that provides emergency assistance and transitional housing to residents of Ellis County. Services noted for clients include transportation, food, clothing, emergency shelter, job training, educational support, medical and spiritual care, and day care when needed. Transitional housing is available for single women, women with children, and legally married couples, typically for an average stay of six months.
