Event Details
The Hachie 50 is a running event taking place in Waxahachie, Texas. It is sponsored by the Waxahachie Running Club, the Midlothian Running Club, and the Waxahachie Lions Club, with proceeds benefiting the Lions Club's local charitable work for children and schools in Ellis County.
The event features multiple race distances across two days. The adult events take place on Saturday and include a 50 Mile Ultra-marathon, a 20 Mile Ruck, a 26.2 Mile Marathon (noted as a BQ certified course), and a 50 Mile Ultra Relay. On Friday, there are two youth events: a Kids 1 mile fun run and a Kids 3k fun run.
Course and Location
All races start and finish at Getzendaner Memorial Park (400 S Grand Ave, Waxahachie). The course is primarily within the park, which is mostly closed to traffic. It is an out-and-back route that is 90% on concrete sidewalks and 10% on dirt or gravel paths.
Participant Information
Participants receive a custom t-shirt and a unique custom medal. Free online race photos are provided, and there will be food and drinks available during and after the event.
Awards are given to the top six men and women in each individual event. For the relay event, awards are presented to the top male, top female, and top co-ed teams. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
