Hachie 50 Marathon, Ultra and Relay - Waxahachie, TX
The Hachie 50 is a race day in Waxahachie organized by the Waxahachie Running Club and the Midlothian Running Club in partnership with the Waxahachie Lions Club. The event benefits the Waxahachie Lions Club, which supports local children and schools in Ellis County.
The course is an out and back route inside Getzendaner Memorial Park that is mostly closed to traffic. Surface breakdown is listed as 90% concrete sidewalks and 10% dirt or gravel. The 50 mile events use a 10 mile loop run five times; the marathon uses a slightly shortened out and back course completed three times. The course is described as flat and tree lined.
Participants receive custom t-shirts and unique custom medals. Free online race photos will be available, and food and drinks will be provided during and after the event. Individual awards are given to the top six men and top six women in each event, with no separate masters category. Relay awards include top male team, top female team and top coed team.
