Spook Out Cancer
Spook Out Cancer is the second annual Halloween themed community 5K run/walk held at Orenda Pavilion in Saratoga Spa State Park, Saratoga Springs, NY. The event benefits the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), the nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society. The distance is 5K (3.1 Miles) and the listed registration fee is $30.
Packet pickup is available on race day. Day of registration will be accepted, with cash or Venmo as payment options. Raffles will be held during the event; raffle tickets are offered at 1 ticket for $5 or 3 tickets for $10, and cash or Venmo are accepted for raffle purchases. Top finishers will receive prizes. Dogs are welcome when kept on a leash. Apples, cider donuts, and fresh cider from local orchards will be available.
Parking is available in the main SPAC parking lot off Route 50 behind the box office; signs will direct attendees to that lot. Parking directly at Orenda Pavilion requires a $10 park entrance fee, which is not included in registration. The event was founded by a local stage IV cancer survivor to support community efforts related to prevention, detection, treatment, and survivorship.
