Splash & Dash Round 6 : Freyberg Beach, Oriental Bay, Wellington
Splash & Dash Round 6 is an open water swim and swim-run event held at Freyberg Beach on Oriental Parade in Oriental Bay, Wellington. It is part of a series of weekday evening events in the 2026/27 season; Round 6 is scheduled for 10 February 2027. The event is organized by Barefoot Events and takes place at the Freyberg Beach play area, Oriental Parade.
The event offers multiple swim-only and swim-plus-run options with measured distances and separate age-based pricing tiers. Available course distances include:
- 150 m open water swim
- 400 m open water swim
- 750 m open water swim
- 1300 m open water swim
- 2000 m open water swim
- 150 m swim plus 4.15 km run
- 400 m swim plus 4.4 km run
- 730 m swim plus 4.73 km run
- 1300 m swim plus 5.3 km run
Minimum age to participate is 13. Younger participants may take part if they provide either printed results from a comparable open water event or evidence of regular participation in an organized swimming squad via a coach-completed form.
