Splash Dash 5K and Amphibious Run
The Splash Dash takes place at the Daniel Stowe Conservancy in Belmont, North Carolina. Participants run through a trail system featuring lakefront views, starting and finishing in The Village at Stowe. The event offers three distinct distance options:
- 5K Run
- Amphibious Run (5K run plus a 0.5-mile kayak paddle)
- Kids' Sprint (0.25-mile run)
The 5K course leads runners through spring trails with views of Lake Wylie. For those participating in the Amphibious Run, the race follows the 5K path until the halfway mark. At this point, participants transition at a beach on Lake Wylie to kayaks provided by the organizer. The route includes a paddle around Boy Scout Island before returning to the beach to complete the final segment of the run. Life jackets and paddles are provided for all kayak participants.
The Kids' Sprint is a quarter-mile race designed for children aged 12 and under. It takes place on the Big Pond Loop, an 8-foot-wide crushed concrete path visible from the Trailhead Store.
Participants receive free entry to the Gardens at Stowe following the event. Custom awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K and Amphibious categories, with additional age group awards available for the 5K race.
