Spirit of Freedom 5K Run, Walk, Ruck : Findlay, Ohio
Marathon Petroleum (MPC) and HONOR, the Veterans employee network chapter in Findlay, Ohio, are hosting a 5K event on October 3. The in-person 5K will begin on East Hardin Street under the MPC skywalk and is open to employees and community members. A virtual 5K option is also offered with a later registration close date.
Registration opens June 16 and the fee for both in-person and virtual entries is $30. To receive a t-shirt, participants must register by September 10; t-shirts are not guaranteed for race day registration. Packets for virtual participants will be mailed prior to the event. Additional information about packet pickup will be provided before the race.
All race proceeds, 100 percent, will benefit Flag City Honor Flight and other Honor Flight chapters. Honor Flight is a national nonprofit that celebrates U.S. veterans by inviting them to share in a day of honor at national war memorials.
The event includes an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K, both described above, and is presented by MPC and the local HONOR chapter in support of veteran-focused charities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
