Spiggie 10k
Spiggie 10k is organised by Shetland Amateur Athletics Club and takes place on 1 November 2026. The starting point and registration are at Dunrossness Central Public Hall, Shetland. The event is listed as a Scottish Athletics licensed event pending.
The route is an accurately measured 10 km made up mainly of roads and the race is run under UK athletics rules.
Entry rules state that runners must be at least 15 years old on the day, with under 16s requiring parental permission. The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs. Running with buggies or pets is not permitted. Headphones are not allowed except for bone conducting earphones; in ear headphones will result in disqualification. Organisers must follow the age requirements to maintain appropriate insurance cover.
Online entry is accepted until 25 October 2026. Race numbers are not transferable and no refunds will be given unless the race is cancelled. Entry fees listed are £16 discounted and £18 standard until the stated entry deadline; the discounted rate applies to members of SA EA WA. A service fee of 4 percent applies with a minimum charge of 50p. Total places are limited to 99 and the event status is open.
