Purpose, registration and logistics
The event is a fundraiser that benefits Columbia's Spend Yourself® World Hunger ministries in Falls Church and in Muchila, Zambia. Early registration runs from June 1 through September 1 with fees listed as $35 individual and $130 family. The regular rate runs from September 2 through November 6 with fees listed as $40 individual and $140 family. Packet pick-up is scheduled the Friday before the event at Road Runner Sports, 1120 W Broad St, Falls Church, and the Saturday before the event at Columbia Church, 103 W Columbia Street, Falls Church. Race day registration is located in the Columbia Church lobby. Organizers note that some streets will close on race morning and recommend using nearby parking lots.
