Event Overview
The Speedway 5000 is a running event held at the Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon, Tennessee. The event takes place on a Saturday in May.
Distances and Registration
The event features three race categories:
- 5K: A fast, flat race on the speedway's smooth pavement with wide turns.
- 1 Lap: A one-lap race on the speedway.
- Kids' Run: A free run for children.
Registration uses a block pricing structure where the fee increases as more people sign up. For the 5K and 1 Lap races, the starting prices are $40.00 and $35.00, respectively. The Kids' Run is free. Participants can also register for bundles that include a race entry and a ticket to the Cracker Barrel 400 NASCAR race on a later date.
Participant Benefits and Charity
Every participant receives a commemorative medal and a participant t-shirt. A donation of $2.50 from each registration is made to Speedway Children's Charities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
