SpeedOn Winter MTB Duathlon 2026
This is a duathlon of trail running and mountain biking held at Rabbit Island, Conifer Park on 21 June 2026. The event offers separate long and short race options and a free short race for children under 12.
Race options include:
- Long - 3 km run / 16 km bike / 3 km run
- Short - 1.5 km run / 8 km bike / 1.5 km run
The bike course is suitable for mountain bikes, gravel bikes and electric mountain bikes. A kids race for under 12s uses a short run-bike-run course in and around Conifer Park; no prior registration is required, competitors should arrive before the kids race and speak with a volunteer.
Entry fees vary by category and membership status, with lower online rates for club members and students. Pay-at-event is accepted in cash with no discounts. Race day entries incur a 50% penalty and no discounts apply. The organising club operates a no refund policy for club events.
Current Triathlon New Zealand competition rules apply. Drafting is allowed on the bike leg; participants are asked not to use aero bars when drafting. The course is not closed to traffic, so riders must keep left and ride single file unless passing. A compulsory pre-race briefing is held for all competitors.
