Event overview
The Spartan Trail at Summit Bechtel Reserve in Glen Jean, West Virginia, takes place on Aug 30, 2026. The reserve is adjacent to the New River Gorge and features varied trail terrain, including wide singletrack, steep and technical off-trail sections, a lush forest environment, and steep, punchy climbs. The park has on-site adventure features such as an archery range, a rock wall, and zip lines that may be visible from the course. The weekend also includes Spartan Obstacle Course Races.
