Event overview
The NRG Trifecta is a calendar-year endurance challenge in New River Gorge National Park, West Virginia. It comprises three separate races held in the same year; completing all three in one year constitutes the Trifecta. The series is limited to 50 entrants and Trifecta entry guarantees a place in all three races. Proceeds support Adventure Appalachia programming.
Race distances and details
- 50K - Cabin Fever 50K, point-to-point.
- 100K - Falling Water 100K, 4 x 25K loops.
- Rim to River 100 - out-and-back.
The 2026 race dates are:
- Cabin Fever 50K: February 21, 2026.
- Falling Water 100K: April 25, 2026.
- Rim to River 100: October 24, 2026.
Entry fee for the Trifecta is $700. All Trifecta finishers receive a custom belt buckle, a plaque, a hat, and a jacket. Trifecta entrants are not eligible for refunds if they drop from any of the three races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
