Falling Water Ultras takes place April 25, 2026 in the New River Gorge area at ACE Adventure Resort and in New River Gorge National Park, West Virginia. The course is four repeated loops of 15.5 miles that use resort trails and sections that drop into the park and follow the two main creeks in the area, Rush Run and Arbuckle. Each loop includes roughly 2,400 feet of elevation gain and loss and features waterfalls, New River shoreline running, and a rock hopping crossing at Arbuckle Creek.
On-course logistics include hydration stations with water and Gnarly Fuel2-O at approximately the 5 and 10 mile points of each loop. While out on each loop runners must carry their own food and fuel. The Start/Finish area includes an aid station and space for crew access and campsite or vehicle access. Solo 100K entrants have a 24 hour cutoff and may use a pacer for the final loop. The solo 50K option has a 12 hour cutoff. Relay teams split the 100K into one loop per runner for four person teams or two loops per runner for two person teams.
Registration opens December 14, 2025 and closes April 17, 2026. Early and standard entry fees apply by posted dates. Registered runners receive event apparel and finishers receive custom awards. Refunds are full until February 1; after that deferrals and partial refunds are handled case by case. Proceeds support the Adventure Appalachia nonprofit.
