Event overview
The Falling Water Ultras is a trail ultramarathon held in the New River Gorge National Park region at ACE Adventure Resort on April 25, 2026. The event is organized by Rim to River Endurance Co. Registration opens December 14, 2025 and closes April 17, 2026. The event includes solo and team formats and offers on-site camping at the start/finish area for Friday and Saturday as part of the registration fee.
Course and logistics
The course is four loops of about 15.5 miles each and includes sections in New River Gorge National Park and on resort trails. Each loop has about 2,400 feet of elevation gain and loss. The route follows Rush Run and Arbuckle and runs along the banks of the New River, including a creek crossing at Arbuckle Creek. Aid is provided at the start/finish area where crew and vehicles can access runners. While on each loop, runners must carry their own food and fuel. Hydration stations with water and Gnarly Fuel2-O are located at roughly the 5- and 10-mile points of each loop.
