Spartan Shamrock Sprint
The Spartan Shamrock Sprint is a community race held on school grounds in Douglasville, Georgia at 1364 Winn Road. The course is a two loop route that circles the local high school and elementary school and finishes with a photo finish on the school track.
The route begins near the track, follows a steady incline toward the main road, then declines along the road into the elementary bus loop. A short section passes between the baseball and football fields and runs through the student parking lot before repeating the loop. Some course sections include gravel and one curb that may be difficult for strollers.
Event offerings include:
- Spartan Shamrock Sprint Fun Run
- 5K
- Student Spartan Shamrock, open to ages 19 and under
While awards are being prepared, participants can find lite refreshments, a photo opportunity with Sparty the Spartan the school mascot, and hot or iced coffee from Tom's Coffee Truck. Awards for the 5K are presented in Overall Male and Female, Masters, and age group categories ranging from 9 up to 70 plus.
