About the race
The 2027 Melbourne Spartan Event Weekend takes place at Werribee Racecourse in Werribee, VIC on August 7 and 8, 2027. The event program includes multiple obstacle race formats across two days, and introduces Australia’s first Twilight Race, a 5 km race run as the sun sets with a festival atmosphere at the finish featuring live music, food trucks and local vendors. The Super 10 km race will serve as the National Series finale for 2027, hosting the final round where season honours and awards are decided. Course formats listed for the weekend include a Sprint with 20 obstacles and a Super with 25 obstacles.
A Kids race of approximately 1 to 3 km with obstacles is scheduled on the second day. The weekend also offers a 12-hour Hurricane Heat team event, charity wave entries, a combo pass option, spectator access, and crew volunteer sign-up.
