Event Overview
The Sparta Stampede is a running and walking event held on Saturday, June 13, 2026. All proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Sparta.
Distances
The event features two main in-person distances and corresponding virtual options.
- 5 Mile Run
- 2 Mile Run/Walk There are also virtual versions of both distances.
Registration & Awards
Registration costs $30 for all distances. Individuals who register by May 22, 2026, receive a free t-shirt, though shirts are not guaranteed after this deadline. Onsite registration on the day of the race is $10 more than the online price. Online registration for the 5 Mile in-person race ends at noon on June 11, 2026.
Awards, including medals for the top three male and female finishers in each age group, are for in-person participants only. A special traveling trophy will be awarded to the "Most Creative Team". The trophy is engraved with the team name and date, displayed by the winning team for one month, and then returned to the Boys & Girls Club of Sparta.
Age Groups
Age groups for the 5 Mile Run are: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Age groups for the 2 Mile Run/Walk are: 6-9, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
