Sparrow's Nest Superhero 5K

Sparrow's Nest Superhero Rock 'N' Run Challenge and 5K - Poughquag, NY

This event series runs from March 30 to May 30, 2026, at Barton Orchards in Poughquag, New York. It combines an in-person 5K held on a trail course with a multi-distance challenge option and a separate music festival.

• 5K in-person trail event (3.1 miles)
• 30-mile Titans Challenge including the in-person 5K
• 60-mile Incredibles Challenge including the in-person 5K
• 160-mile Avenger Challenge including the in-person 5K
• 270-mile Superman Challenge including the in-person 5K
• Rock Festival only option

The in-person Superhero 5K uses a trail course of 3.1 miles. Course surfaces include gravel, pavement, and grass. The 5K accommodates walking, jogging, and running and is presented without emphasis on competitive timing.

Following the race, the event hosts a Superhero Rock Fest featuring local bands and on-site food and drinks. Rock Fest access is included with race registration, and a Rock Fest only option is also offered. Children under five are admitted free for both the 5K and the Rock Fest.
