Spark the FREEdom 5K and 3K Run/Walk
This event is a community run and walk held on July 4, 2026 at Lakewood Nature Preserve, 220 Lakewood Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. It offers two distance options for participants.

Registration opens May 1, 2026 and closes July 4, 2026. Entry is listed as free, but membership in the hosting club is required for the free entry. An alternative donation amount of $10 is noted for those who do not join as members. Camping is available on site for a fee of $25 per participant.
The evening program includes a post-run social with a potluck-style dinner, food and drinks, and fireworks. The setting is described as a nature preserve with trails, wildlife, open sky and ample parking. There is no water or power on site. Participants are invited to bring side dishes, snacks, chairs or blankets as needed. The organizer indicates fireworks that light up the sky are welcome while fireworks that pose a safety risk are discouraged.
