Space Oddity

Space Oddity is a trail running event at Hurn Forest, Hospital Services Cricket Club, Ringwood, Dorset, presented with a David Bowie theme along the forest trails. The course is out and back on the main forest track and is run as lap repeats so participants may choose their distance on the day.

All finishers of one lap or more receive a Bowie inspired medal. A staffed aid and drinks station at the start and finish of each lap offers a selection of savoury and sweet items, including space themed snacks. Bag drop and facilities are available at the cricket club adjacent to the start and finish, and toilets are provided on site.

Trail shoes are recommended but not essential because the track is hardstanding and well maintained. Number pick up takes place on the day at race registration. The event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules; distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under. Twenty percent of entry costs will be donated to Forestry England to support maintenance of forests and trails.
