About the race
Soyland Moor Fell Race is a classic Calderdale fell race run from the Hinchliffe Arms in Cragg Vale, West Yorkshire. The 13.5-mile course climbs about 1,300 feet and weaves over rugged moorland, starting with a steep tarmac ascent toward Sunderland Pasture, then on to Stoodley Pike before crossing the Pennine Way. Runners continue across the moor, cross the B6138 Cragg Vale Road, head toward Great Manshead Hill and return to the Hinchliffe Arms.
The route features marked waypoints and must be completed in order, with the start and finish flagged. It’s run under UKA rules and licensed with TRA and FRA. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
