It features about 1300 feet of ascent and a tough, scenic route that traverses bogs and moorland, including a climb to Stoodley Pike and a stretch along the Pennine Way before looping back past Great Manshead Hill to the pub. Runners must visit checkpoints in the specified order and follow a mapped route.
The event is run under UKA rules and licensed with the TRA and FRA, offering a classic Calderdale fell-racing atmosphere with supportive local crowds. It draws a dedicated local running community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
