Southern Tour Ultra
The Southern Tour Ultra is a multi-event trail ultramarathon held in Wilmington, North Carolina on January 15 and 16, 2027. The event takes place at a site on U.S. 17 and uses repeated 10 mile loops to build the longer distances. The race program includes individual ultras and team relay options over those looped laps.
The event lists on-course and on-site amenities such as camping, tailgating, a barbecue, live classic rock music, beer, and a large bonfire. Camping on the race site requires a camping pass for entry, and campers are subject to site rules and a scheduled quiet time. The site is cleared out on the day after the races.
Organizer and event information identify these competitions and formats:
- 100 mile individual using ten 10 mile loops
- 50 mile individual using five 10 mile loops
- 50K using three 10 mile loops
- 50 mile age graded relay team format
- PRE-PURCHASE 50 MILE TEAM purchase option for all team entries
Registration for the 2027 edition is listed as open. The event is run by Southern Tour Ultra and lists past results, photos, and additional event details through its event pages and organizers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
