Southampton Running Festival - August 2027
The Southampton Running Festival takes place on 8 August 2027 in Southampton, with the event based around Southampton Common and The Avenue, SO15 7NN. The festival supports One Community Eastleigh and is organised by RunThrough.
The route starts and finishes on Southampton Common and passes through woodland, grassland, ponds, wetlands, lakes and open parkland. Southampton Common is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest, creating a distinctive natural setting for the races.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon : minimum age 17
- 10K : minimum age 15
- 5K : minimum age 11
- Junior Race : maximum age 11
Included with entry are a themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post-race goodies and a bag drop. Results earn a national ranking with timed finishes. The event provides an event village with food and drink options, portable toilets, water on the route and at the finish, and secure baggage storage. Entry fees range from £10 to £36 and the course has a three-hour cut-off.
There is limited parking at the common, with additional city centre car parks and street parking a short walk away.
