About the race
The Southampton Running Festival takes place on Sunday 8 August 2027 at Southampton Common. The event supports One Community Eastleigh and is organised by RunThrough.
The course starts and finishes on Southampton Common and runs through woodland, grassland, ponds, wetlands, lakes and open parkland. Southampton Common is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest, providing a distinctive natural setting for participants and spectators. Each kilometre of the course is marked with distance flags, and marshals guide and cheer participants around the route.
An event village provides food and drink options and free items from partners at the finish area. The organiser highlights sustainability as a growing focus for its events. Participants can purchase an event t-shirt with the event logo at a discount when added as part of entry, supplied in partnership with RT Kit.
