Southampton Firecracker 8K & 3 Miler
The event is the 35th annual Southampton Firecracker offering a timed 8 kilometer race and a 3 mile walk that start and finish at Agawam Park, 25 Pond Lane, Southampton, NY 11969. Registration is not yet open; registration will open in advance of the event.
Amenities for registrants include light refreshments, a DRI TECH race tee for all registrants, live/text/email online results, and free finish photos and video. Packet pickup and race day registration take place on the morning of the event. Registrants who register three weeks in advance are eligible for a personalized race number. Runners must know their bib number to pick up their packet; a self lookup area is available. If registration occurs within 24 hours of packet pickup, a confirmation email is required to be assigned a bib.

Awards apply to the 8K only. All 8K participants receive a medal on a ribbon. Trophies are awarded to the top three men and top three women overall. Age group awards for the 8K are offered in these divisions: 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 plus. There are no awards or age groups for the 3 mile event.
The event benefits the Southampton Rotary Scholarship and Endowment Fund. USATF course information and a Garmin course file are indicated as available for the 8K and the 3 mile walk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
