About the race
The Southampton Firecracker 8K & 3 Miler is the 35th annual running event held on September 6, 2026, at Agawam Park in Southampton, NY. The event proceeds rain or shine and includes both a timed 8K and a 3 mile run/walk.

- 8K 8 kilometers (4.96 miles)
- 3 Mile run/walk
Registration options list an entry fee of $35 with a sample transaction fee of $3.98 for a total of $38.98; totals may vary with additional options or donations. Race-day packet pickup and race-day registration take place the morning of the event. Registrants who register at least three weeks in advance can have their name printed on the bib.
Amenities for participants include light refreshments, a Dri-Tech race tee for all registrants, live/text/email results, and free finish-line photos with same-day availability. Team registration is optional and may be used to join or create a team roster.
Awards apply to the 8K only: all 8K finishers receive a medal, the top three male and female overall receive trophies, and top three finishers by male/female age groups are recognized in age brackets from 9 & under through 80+. There are no awards or age groups for the 3 mile event.
