Run for the Petals 5K Run/Walk
Run for the Petals is a 5K run/walk presented by AgroCouncil in Greenport. The event is tied to the local Cherry Blossom Festival season and serves as the festival kickoff on May 2. The venue listed is the Greenport Fire Department at 236 3rd St., Greenport, NY 11944. Registration is not yet open.
The event raises funds for local nonprofits including AgroCouncil, Greenport BID and the Greenport Village Tree. Amenities include live online, text and email results, free finish line photos and the option for personalized bibs when participants register at least three weeks in advance.
Awards are given to the overall top three men and top three women, plus age group awards for top three men and women in the following categories: 11 and under, 12 to 20, 21 to 30, 31 to 40, 41 to 50, 51 to 60, 61 to 70 and 71 and older.
Race bibs are available from event staff on race day; participants who register earlier receive their bib information by text or email prior to pickup. A 5K course map is available online.
