Pumpkinfest Run 5K South Lyon
The Pumpkinfest Run 5K is scheduled for September 26, 2026 at Island Lake State Recreation Area on the shores of Kent Lake in the South Lyon area. The event uses the Island Lake cross country course that South Lyon cross country teams have used for over 30 years.
The race course is a grass cross country route with a painted line and course marshals. The organizer notes that the course is challenging. Professional timing will be provided.
Registration opens June 18, 2026 and closes September 14, 2026. Registration and packet pick up take place at the blue tent on the Kent Lake beach. The registration fee is $25. Participants will receive a tech shirt, refreshments, and age group and gender based awards. Participants also receive tickets redeemable at the Pumpkinfest Festival at its temporary 2026 location at Bartlett Elementary in South Lyon.
