Event Overview
The UK Ultra South Downs event consists of four point-to-point races through the South Downs National Park in southeast England. The courses are on non-technical, runnable trails. The routes merge at a point to cross the white cliffs of Beachy Head and finish at the same location in Eastbourne.
The Courses
There are four distances:
- South Downs 100k
- South Downs 50k
- Seven Sisters Half Marathon
- South Downs 20 Miles
All routes are fully marked and feature a mix of runnable sections and hillier terrain. The 100k race is part of the South Downs Triple Crown challenge, which involves completing three ultra-distance races in a calendar year.
Event Details
The event takes place on Saturday, May 23, 2026. The finish area in Eastbourne includes race commentary, food, music, massage, and drinks. Aid stations are placed regularly along the courses and are manned by volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
