The South Downs 50k is a 50-kilometer point-to-point trail race from Falmer to Eastbourne, primarily following the scenic South Downs Way through the South Downs National Park. Featuring over 3,500 feet of elevation gain and descent, the course offers a mix of grass trails, farm tracks, and forest paths that are runnable and not technical, making it ideal for newbie ultra runners and those seeking a classic ultra distance challenge. The race finishes atop the iconic white cliffs of Beachy Head.
With four aid stations, a generous cutoff time, and live GPS tracking, it also welcomes walkers and forms part of the South Downs 50K Triple Crown series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
