Soup 2 Nutz Duathlon : Predator Ridge Resort
Soup 2 Nutz is a community-focused trail duathlon held on the Predator Ridge Resort trails and the Ellison Provincial Park landscape. The event offers options for solo competitors, relay teams, and an e-bike category. Participants can choose to complete both disciplines or only one.
Race format and distances:
- 10 km trail run
- 10 km mountain bike or e-bike ride
Key participant information: The event requires signed waivers and enforces mandatory safety equipment for bike participants, including a helmet and a minimum of 500 ml of water on both bike and run. Transition for team and solo competitors uses a token system: runners hand a token to their rider to enable departure, and finish-line token presentation is required. Aid stations provide water, Tailwind, and small snacks; participants must bring their own cup as the event is cup-less. A racer meal is provided for entrants.
Administration and rules: Entry fees are published with low-cost options for solo and team entries and no refunds. The course is marked and marshalled; participants must stay on designated trails, avoid littering, and follow marshal instructions. Race marshals and aid station captains have authority to stop or disqualify participants for safety or rule violations. Results and category awards are provided to top finishers. The organizers emphasize environmental protection and expect participants to accept personal responsibility for safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
