Event overview
Soup 2 Nutz is a combined trail run and mountain bike event at Silver Star Provincial Park, scheduled for Saturday, July 11, 2026. The event can be entered solo or as a two-person relay. Distances:
- 10 km trail run
- 16 km mountain bike ride
The run starts at about 5,500 feet elevation and follows rolling single track and technical sections before opening onto grassy double track and alpine views. The course includes a notable climb called Hell Hill and returns to transition via ski trails and the Hammered Cow single track. The bike leg uses mostly blue-level trails with some short black sections, and follows named segments such as Soup 2 Nutz trail, Coffee Grinder, and Raw Bones, with a mix of climbs and fast descents.
Logistics, safety and rules
Package pick-up and the stadium start/finish are at Sovereign Lake Nordic Center, Silver Star Provincial Park. Runners start first; team runners hand a token to their rider at transition to enable the bike leg. Mandatory gear includes at least 500 ml of water and a small amount of emergency food; helmets are required while on or near a bike. Aid stations will be stocked and a first aid attendant will be at the start/finish area. Photography is provided complimentary. The event follows park and environmental rules, is cupless and eco-friendly, and registration for the 2026 edition opens November 1st; registrants are advised to register by mid-June 2026 to be guaranteed a race bag and T-shirt.
