Soul Crusher is a trail race organized by Ornery Mule Racing, scheduled for October 17, 2026 in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The event offers two course options on single-track trails through Veteran Acres and Sternes Woods, with looped routing that may add optional bonus mileage.

The course uses flagging to guide runners: yellow flags direct participants to the start area and pink flags mark the race route. The start line is located well inside the park and participants should allow about a 30 minute walk from the main parking area to reach it. The event is cup-less; runners should carry a water bottle or hydration vest. A 3 hour and 30 minute time cutoff applies.
Packet pickup is available Friday evening at the Ornery Mule Trailhead location and on Saturday morning at Veteran Acres. Main parking is at 431 Walkup Rd, Crystal Lake, IL 60012. Organizers send a pre-race email to all registered runners with important event information and post course updates as the route is finalized.
The event includes race swag distributed to participants, including a race shirt and a skeleton finisher medal. The race also has a deferral and rollover policy with options for full rollover if notified at least 70 days before the event, and a 50% race credit if notified by 25 days before the event.
