The Soul Crusher is a trail running event held in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The race takes place on a single-track course through the forest of Veteran Acres & Sternes Woods park.

Course and Logistics

The course is a loop of approximately 5 miles. The race directors note the possibility of "bonus" mileage. The start line is located in the middle of the park, requiring about a 30-minute walk from the main parking area at 431 Walkup Rd. The course is marked with pink flags, and volunteers will be present to direct runners. It is a cup-less race, so participants must carry their own water bottle or hydration vest.

Registration and Policies

Registration includes a race shirt and a finisher's medal for all distances. Shirt sizes are guaranteed for early registrants. There is a time cut-off of 3 hours and 30 minutes for the event.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup is available on Friday evening at the Ornery Mule Trailhead in Crystal Lake, and on Saturday morning at Veteran Acres park before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
