Soul Crusher - Crystal Lake, IL
Soul Crusher is a trail running event on October 17, 2026 in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The course runs through Veteran Acres and Sternes Woods and uses single track trails through forested terrain. The event offers looped routes and some sections that add extra mileage beyond the advertised distances.

The course layout includes a roughly 5 mile loop for one distance and an extended route for the longer race; the organizers note that bonus miles may appear on favorite sections. The event is cup less; participants are expected to carry a water bottle or hydration vest. There is a 3 hour and 30 minute time cutoff for finishers.
Packet pickup is available Friday evening at the Ornery Mule Trailhead, 824 S. Main Street #102, from 5 pm to 8 pm, and Saturday morning at Veteran Acres from 6:30 am to 7:30 am. Parking is in the main parking lot at 431 Walkup Rd, Crystal Lake, IL 60012. The start line is located within the park and typically requires about a 30 minute walk from the parking area; flags and course volunteers guide participants to the start.
