S.O.S. is scheduled for September 12, 2026 in Middleburg, Florida, on the Sandridge Trail in Jennings State Forest near 2A Live Oak Lane. The event is organized by Sombrero Running and uses an approximately 2.75 mile loop for all distances and timeframes.

- 3 hour timeframe on the 2.75 mile loop
- 6 hour timeframe on the 2.75 mile loop
- 12 hour timeframe on the 2.75 mile loop
There will be an aid station at the start/finish with standard ultra fare, Skratch electrolytes, pickle juice and post race treats, plus a variety of hot food options such as bacon, quesadillas, burgers, hot dogs, brats and chorizo and egg burritos. A second aid station will be hydration only at about 1 to 1.25 miles on the loop. This is a cupless event; participants must bring their own bottles, hydration vests with bladder, or collapsible cups.
Participants have access to their vehicles at the course and there is room for canopies and tents. A portion of proceeds will go to local recovery related entities including Sombrero Outreach Foundation and Foundations of Freedom. Custom medals and awards will be presented and there will be sponsor giveaways. There are no refunds. Registration closes September 11, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.
