Soo 200
The SOO 200 is Eastern Canada's only 200-mile ultramarathon, held in the Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma region of Ontario, Canada. Celebrating the rugged Canadian Shield terrain and stunning coastal landscapes, the race challenges athletes with a diverse course featuring single track, double track, dirt roads, cross-country sections, bushwhacking, and coastal running.
The prescribed route includes some route-finding elements due to the challenging terrain. Checkpoints are spaced 20 to 40 km apart, and participants must carry a Garmin inReach device for navigation and safety. The event honors the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg and Métis peoples and is a sister race to The Divide 200. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
