Community Strong Race Weekend
Community Strong Race Weekend is a fundraising weekend taking place on June 20 and 21, 2026 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario at 50 Pim Street. This is the fifth annual edition, organized to raise funds and increase awareness of physical and mental health challenges in the local community. All proceeds support the Algoma Family Services Foundation and its mission to support mental health in Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District.
The weekend features a variety of races and family activities. Distances and formats include:
- Marathon noted as a Boston qualifying course
- Half-marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km colour run
- Kids run
- BP 61KM Challenge, a multi day series including a 3.8 km community run, the 10 km and 5 km on Saturday, and the full marathon on Sunday
Packet pick up is scheduled the day before at The Tap Room, 50 Pim St., on June 19, 2026. An official hotel partner is offering a discounted rate for participants until June 1, 2026.
