Event overview
Community Strong Race Weekend is a two-day fundraising event in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on June 20-21, 2026. The weekend is the fifth annual edition and raises funds and awareness for physical and mental health. Funds raised support the Algoma Family Services Foundation and its work for mental health in Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District. Packet pick up is scheduled for June 19 at The Tap Room, 50 Pim Street.
Races and format
The weekend includes road races and family activities across multiple days. Featured events include:
- Marathon
- Half-marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km colour run
- Kids fun run
- BP 61KM challenge (a series including a 3.8 km community run, the 10 km, the 5 km colour run, and the full marathon)
