Santa Marie 5K
Yooper Running Company is hosting the Santa Marie 5K on Saturday, December 5, 2026, in downtown Sault Sainte Marie. The event includes a main road 5K and a short kids run. The start and finish are located near the Pullar Stadium Ice Arena entrance at 435 E Portage Avenue.
The course follows Portage Avenue East with river views and several historical Sault Sainte Marie landmarks. The turnaround is a lollipop loop inside Aune-Osborn Campground. Runners and walkers may use the bike lane, which will be lined with cones, or the sidewalk. Organizers recommend using the bike lane against traffic on the way out and the sidewalk on the way back.

Registration is online only. 5K registration fees vary by month: October $30, November $35, December $40. Kid's Run registration is $10. Packet pickup is inside the Pullar Ice Arena lobby from 7:30am to 8:45am on race day; an early pickup option may be available Friday from 5pm to 7pm if needed and will be announced. Indoor rest rooms are available inside Pullar Stadium.
Parking is available off street near Pullar Stadium, in a rear lot, and in overflow at the Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours parking lots. Chip timing is provided by Yooper Running Company and results will be posted on their website.
