Event

The 1st Song Sparrow Bridge 10K at Northern State is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Sedro Woolley, Washington. The meeting place is listed as 25625 Helmick Rd, Sedro Woolley, WA 98284. Entry is free (price: $0) and registration closes February 12, 2026; a limited number of spots remain. The event will have a traditional mass start and a finish line. There will be no official timing, no race bibs, and no clock; mile markers will be in place on the course. Dogs and strollers are not allowed. Organizers plan to provide warm beverages from Starbucks and may offer treats after the run.

Course

The route is an accurately measured 10K trail course on new and existing Skagit Trail Builders trails. The marked route crosses two handcrafted bridges over Hill Creek and passes through stands of cedar, Douglas fir, and spruce. The course follows farm roads and gravel access roads to trailheads, includes repeated passages over Pumphouse Bridge and Song Sparrow Bridge, and finishes near the Helmick parking area after a short loop on the middle field road. The course will be well signed at junctions so runners follow the intended loops and returns. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
